Offered for your consideration is an early Harold Pierce custom camp/survival/fighting knife. Harold Pierce is a full-time maker and long-time Knifemakers Guild member. Harold made his first professional knife in 1982 and his current productions can exceed $1,200. This pice is marked "H. Pierce", which is mark that was only used from 1982-1989. Pierce is a very well respected and highly skilled maker. His knives have frequently appeared on the pages of the Knives Annuals. The knife shows no signs of use or sharpening with just some storage wear to the sheath. This knife is very angular in design and reminds one of a stealth fighter plane. The angles work very well with the design and give this piece a one-of-a-kind, military-style appearance. This is also a very substantial knife. The blade was masterfully ground from 1/4" stock and the blade is Parkerized. T are a couple light dots or spots on the blade. I don't know if this is perhaps from oil or what. The Parkerization is 100% intact and t is no wear to the finish. It is very well done, t are just some scattered lighter spots as pictured. The grind is also very angular and it's also complex and very well done with excellent symmetry. The reverse of the blade is simply marked "1".
