Hi! Welcome to Junky Jenn's! This listing is for an awesome face jug from Frank Sullivan. I fell in love with this guy the second I saw him! I bought him to sell... about four years ago!! I have enjoyed looking at his face, but, like I said, I bought him to sell. So, here he is! Everyone who sees him comments on the detail and expression he shows! He really is fabulous! He was made by Frank Sullivan. Frank is an art potter ~ not a production potter. His pieces are all as unique as this one. He is from Alabama. I am a North Carolina pottery snob! I live in the Catawba Valley ~ heart of pottery country. This is the first piece of Alabama pottery I have ever loved! He is green and grumpy and very dimensional. The potter put much attention into making his face lifelike. You can almost imagine what he is thinking! He is shaped like a pitcher ~ he is especially fun to serve water from during fancy meals! He makes everyone smile! A most unexpected serving piece! There is an inscription on the back that reads Wil-N-Kate April 29, 2011. It is not a focal point and does not take away from the face. The artist signed and stamped the bottom. 9 1/4" tall x 5" across the bottom. No cracks, chips, etc. Very nice overall and oNe Of A kInD! Please let me know if you have any questions.
