Bidding on this 9 & 1/4" tall lime green beer bottle pictured in the center, the other bottles are listed separately. Now is the horse of a different color! This beauty has an applied, not tooled, blob top. It is embossed in a small oval plate mold " J & E MAHONEY & CO / TRADE / J&EM monogram / MARK / PORTSMOUTH, VA ". The back of the bottle is embossed in large letters " THIS BOTTLE / NOT TO / BE SOLD". The base has a large number "1" embossed on it. I hope the pictures do justice to the color and condition of this bottle. It is pretty much perfect, it is very whittled, bubbly, and has no chips, cracks, or groundwear. It has not been tumbled and t is but a very faint inside cloudiness in spots that is hardly worth mentoning. I have shown and asked about this bottle with several knowledgable Virginia collectors, and although this mold is known, no one reports ever hearing of this bottle in this neat green coloration. I would love to keep this one myself, but Christmas bills are coming, so Merry Christmas to the winning bidder.
