This truly superb lot of 2 glazed figurines, both handcrafted in fine porcelain by Lladro in Spain, showcases the charming innocence of young Angels who watch over us sweetly. The condition of both quality estate finds is EXCELLENT, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The original Factory boxes are NOT available. The first figurine, pictured above and immediately below, features a heartbreakingly youthful Angel, barely more than a baby, who prays with poignant fervor for those he still loves on Earth below. The figure, sculpted by Lladro's master artist Fulgencio Garcia, was originally issued in 1969 and remains Open. The figurine, Factory-numbered 4538 and entitled "Praying Angel," currently boasts a value of $125.00. The figure stands 5-1/4-inches tall and measures 3-inches wide by 3-inches deep. The blue hallmark, with the insignia of a Bellflower, reads, "LLADRO E7 15 C Hand Made in Spain (c) Daisa." The incised mark reads, "4538." The hand-incised marks of the various artists appear, as well. The condition is EXCELLENT . The second figurine, pictured below, features a drowsy Angel who whiles away the hours in curious contemplation of the choices we make on Earth below.
