Offered for a 7-Day, NO RESERVE auction is this incredible Owens Pottery vase, pre-1910, in a superb soft matte green glaze and adorned with Grueby-style leaves and buds. is a perfect example of how hard potteries were trying to emulate the Grueby style, but in a mass-produced way. Nevertheless, this unsigned piece of Owens art pottery is a superb testament to the artistic skills at Owens before 1910. Do I have to say how great this piece of matte green Owens pottery would look in your collection??? This gorgeous piece of Owens matte green pottery measures a full 5.75" tall and 3 & 3/8" wide near the bottom of the vase. The top, rolled-edge opening is 2.5" in diameter while the slightly concave and glazed bottom is 2 & 7/8" in diameter. The base clay is white and the walls are 1/4" thick, so this is a very sturdy, heavy piece as well. Most importantly, this fabulous Owens matte green vase is in MINT Original Condition . T are NO chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs and/or retouches on this piece whatsoever. T is one thin glaze spot near the base and one tiny glaze pop to mention for complete accuracy, but of absolutely no consequence to the beauty and integrity of this piece of pottery. You will not be disappointed with this vase, period. I accept money orders, personal checks and PayPal, but will wait for PayPal or checks to fully clear my bank (usually 2-4 business days) before packing and shipping out any merchandise.
