I'm not a gun parts guy.. but I'll tell you what I can about this fine quality long range rifle sight. In I'd say near perfect , never used condition. This is a Hartford Transition Mid-range Vernier with Windage & Elevation ( or it may be the LONG range model) I believe it was made by the Axtell Rifle Company of Sheridan, MT. Manufacturer of repro Sharps rifle and rifle sights from the late 1800's . You can find the sight on their web site for $310. This is a folding tang rear sight for long range rifle shooting/hunting. T are no markings on this sight with the exception of the measurements on the side for adjustments. The sight is graduated for elevation and is adjustable by means of a thumb wheel on top and a lock wheel for setting the adjustment behind the eyecup. This top quality sight came out of a local old gun collectors estate. The 1/2" wide sight measures approximately 4 1/8" tall, base tang is 2 3/8". Eyecup measures 7/8" diameter. The adjustment treads work perfect. Made for a Sharps 1874-77, I believe. The overall finish is close to new. .. . . . . . I sell all my listings WITHOUT a RESERVE.
