Aynsley Bone China Cobalt Blue & Pink Roses~England~ Tea Cup and Saucer #957
Fortunate estate find.
Corset Style Aynsley teacup & saucer from the 1930-1950s.
The saucer is 5 1/2" diameter.
The cup is 4 1/2" to the extremity to the handle and 2 5/8" high
It is hand painted with a single large pink rose (Cabbage rose) amongst lime foliage in the inner bowl.
It has a scalloped rim.
Marked 957 c on the bottom.
It has 100% of its gold decoration intact.
It is in very fine,as found, condition.
Both pieces are marked in green on the bottom, Anysley, England Bone China, as pictured.
There are no chips, no cracks, no discoloration, no crazing, no abrasion.
A wonderful addition to your collection.
ETAILS: This is a stunning Corset Style Aynsley teacup & saucer from the 1930-1950s, made of fine bone china. Solid Black with a gold trim and a single large pink rose (Cabbage rose) on the inside. Stamped on the bottom is 'Aynsley England Bone China' and hand marked what looks like a 957 & a 2 underneath
HISTORY: The Aynsley brand was established by John Aynsley in 1775 in a small pottery in Lane End, later known as Longton, in Staffordshire, England.
