Azurite Malachite Gemstone Matched Pair Cabochons A very pretty pair of royal blue Azurite and green Malachite cabochons from the Morenci Copper mine in Arizona. Azurite is a very popular mineral because of its unparalleled color, a deep royal blue called "azure", hence its name. Azure is derived from the arabic word for blue. The color is due to the presence of copper (a strong coloring agent). Azurite has been used as a dye for paints and fabrics for eons. It is very similar in composition and often found with green Malachite. Metaphysical Properties: This combination produces flexibility. It generally allows one to reach into the inner depths without fear, bringing self-acceptance and ultimately self-love in the process. These cabs have been custom cut into a triangle circle shape for earrings. They are 25 mm by 15.5 mm wide at their widest and 5 mm thick.
