This is a wonderful old steamer trunk made by the B, B & B. Trunk Company, Pittsburgh, PA. It was noted for its solid construction trunks, suitcases and traveling bags. The company was bought by Theophil Speyser, a German immigrant who was a furniture and coffin maker in 1906 when it was renamed Buffalo Trunk Manufacturing Co. He began his original company in 1879. This trunk has a shipping label on the outside which has a 1913 date on it. It also has an inside certificate of guarantee on the inside. It has no inside tray, and has an old trunk smell. Someone has also removed the lock. It weighs 75 pounds. It measures 22 1/2" deep, 24 3/4" high and 36" in length. It is in very good condition - t are a few scratches. Could be rubbed out with a little elbow grease. Both handles are intact. An appropriate shipping and handling charge will be added once the buyer has provided an address. It will be mutually agreeable. Because this is an oversized trunk, it can only go by freight carrier. Please be advised this is expensive and will run at least $140.00 not inclusive of our $25.00 handling fee to secure the item.
