Offered for sale is a hand carved and painted wooden head of a Chinese Ming Dynasty(1368-1644) temple figure 明代罗真人像. It has minor damage and paint loss, overall it is in very good condition considering a 400 years old wood carving. The expert in China provided me the information of this head carving. The paint is original and has gold gilt accented on the hat. I was told by the seller the hat design is matching to the Ming Dynasty costume. The head measure 12"tall(13"tall with stand) x 4-1/2"wide x 4-1/4"deep. The home made stand measures 5-3/4"wide x 4-5/8"deep x 1"high. This home made stand is removable. It is a very nice antique Chinese wood carving example to add to your collection.
