Thanx for stopping by to view another auction for Klassic Kollectibles by TruJo, Colby, Kansas 67701, USA .... You are looking at one nice sleigh. It is most likely larger than most, but small enough not to be in the way. This older sleigh is made of steel, tin, wood, and wicker cane. I can't put a date on it for it's manufacture, however, I can say it is old to say the least. The runners, handle bars (pun), and the curls in front with a hitch to hook a rope onto is steel and painted black and antiqued with some brass color splotches in them. Or maybe these parts were painted brass looking, and repainted black over. The body of this sleigh is tin and attached with small pieces of steel angles to attach the wood sides that are inlaid with wicker cane. These parts are painted a deep red. Overall, this sleigh is in great shape with a small bobo on the right front edge and could use a little touchup of dark red. T are no sharp edges on this sleigh to hurt anyone. Built really well, and could be used for most any display. For dolls, for the Merry Christmas season ahead, or for any display in a store front area or part of a Christmas decoration scene for all your neighbors to see with delight! Measures: Sleigh Runners and Handles: 28" Long from tip of handles to tip of front runner curls, runners are 7 1/2" wide from outside edge to outside edge. The handles are 14 1/2" off the floor. Sleigh Box: 15" from end to end, 8 1/2" wide, 7" deep on the rear sidewalls, 5" deep on the front sidewalls. Weighs: 5 lbs 4 oz. Will ship at about 8 lbs 8 oz. This sleigh will be packed well for shipping. If you are looking for a sleigh for a display, you would have to look much farther to do better than this.. and if you want it for a doll collection... it is...!! If you want it for Christmas decoration.. it is...!! If you want it for a child to play with... Well, that is your decision?
