THIS LITTLE PIGGY WENT TO THE MARKET...

ACTUALLY, THIS IS A "LEFT OVER" FROM TOYS I'VE STORED FOR MANY MANY YEARS FROM OUR CHILDREN. THEY HAVE ALL TAKEN WHAT THEY WANTED AS WE'RE DOWNSIZING AND SELLING HUNDREDS OF COLLECTIBLES FROM OUR HOME AND ALSO FROM MY IN-LAWS AND THEIR PARENTS TOO!

THIS IS A "KNICKERBACKER PLASTIC CO" TOY: Knickerbocker Plastic Company was located in Glendale, California, and shouldn't be confused with Knickerbocker Toy Company of New York, who specialized is stuffed animals. Knickerbocker Plastic made many remarkable plastic toys for the burgeoning Baby Booming post WWII market. They were in competition with Japan which blanketed the USA with cheap tin toys. Most American companies couldn't compete with Japan, but Knickerbocker found a niche for their toys. These plastic toys are very collectible and getting harder to find as many did not survive due to the hard brittleplastic they were made of. Despite their initial success post WWII, the company went out of business in the 1950's.

I ALWAYS TRY TO RESEARCH THE ITEMS I AM SELLING AND ALTHOUGH I FOUND SEVERAL OF THE "ROCKING" RATTLES, I DID NOT FIND ANY WITH A LITLE "PIG". THIS ONE IS NOT PRISTINE AND HE HAS NOT BEEN ABUSED, HE IS OVER 60 YEARS OLD, AND SHOWS HIS AGE. HE IS STILL A NICEPINK COLOR, SEE 3RD PHOTO FOR BEST DEPICTION
