Classic Baccarat crystal luxor obelisk Mary Pickford Achievement Award presented to Donald O'Connor in 2000 by the Mary Pickford Foundation. In absolutely Mint condition the crystal obelisk stands approximately 10" tall and is 2 1/8" at the base. The black base is over 1 1/2" tall by 4" in width and depth. The plaque reads; Donald O'Connor recipient of the Mary Pickford Achievement Award 2000 Fresh from the estate of Donald O'Connor famous Hollywood legend and cinema star. Mr. O'Connor performed in vaudeville from the age of three and had his Hollywood screen debut at age 12. He was in over 100 motion pictures, such as Singing in the Rain, No Business Like Show Business, Anything Goes, That's Entertainment, Beau Geste, Francis the Talking Mule, and scores of others. He also established himself in television hosting The Colgate Palmolive Comedy Hour, (a lovely sterling tray from that show is listed separately), an appearance on The Nanny (with Fran Drescher), numerous variety shows and he hosted the 1st International Academy Awards show on television. This stunning award still has the red Baccarat tag as well as the Baccarat signature at the base.
