Bachmann "HON3" (??) 5-Piece Passenger Train Set Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Here's a dusty 5-piece Bachmann passenger train a neighbor gave me several years ago. The loco, tender and 3 cars are all approx. the size of American Flyer "S" gauge, but it runs on HO track. It was told this is "HON3" gauge, which I have never heard of in 40+ years of train collecting ( perhaps I need to get out more ! ) Here's a description of each piece, to the best of my ability:#RR56 2-6-0 steam locomotive : I tested this on HO track with an HO power pack, and it runs quietly and smoothly in both directions. The headlight is loose, but it does light up. I believe there are some trim pieces missing off the top, but I don't know what they might be or what they might look like. 7" long"Villiage Express" tender : missing the corner steps on one side and a small gold trim piece from the right top front. Otherwise, it seems complete#101 combination baggage and pullman car : missing its railing detail at one end and half of it at the other end. The truss rod detail underneath is also mostly missing.
