Bahr & Proschild 1871-1919 Germany 11" Bisque Head Lovely Antique Character DollThis little darling is so sweet to hold. With her bisque socket head, featuring a double chin and expressive character face, and her composition body, she feels heavy for her tiny 11" size.Marked on the back of her head is an "X" with a "B" on left side and a "P" on right side and an "O" at the middle bottom (Bahr & Proschild mark) "Germany". The "X" swords were added in 1900. Mold #585-2She is an 11" Bisque Socket Head Composition Body Baby Doll, Character DollShe has blue glass sleep eyes, perfectly working, but she is missing her left eyelid.Original wig, which has been removed, so that cotton can be stuffed into her head for shipping. I would not want to risk breaking her beautiful bisque head.Beautiful face with rosy cheeks, open mouth showing 2 molded teeth. Her bisque head is in excellent condition.She is all original with a sweet antique original costume.Painted upper and lower lashes with short feathered brows Her composition body has no breaks (only markings), showing her over 100 years old age. It appears to have had some painted restoration.
