is a fabulous Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co. sterling silver coffee pot circa 1880's. The coffee pot is engraved with a mythological motif Neptune, sea horses, mermaids, and cherubs. The handle is ivory in the form of two serpents-snakes with two cast mount tails in sterling and a snake head. The engraved detail is crisp and superb. The coffee pot measures 7 3/4" high by 10 1/2" wide from handle to spout. The coffee pot weighs a heavy 36.9 troy ounces very heavy. The pot holds 46 fluid ounces. The coffee pot has the Bailey, Banks & Biddle Company, sterling , S 7428, and 3 1/4 P'T'S. The condition is very good with no damage, dents, or ding. The handle is tight and sturdy. The ivory handle has a nice patina. This coffee pot came from the Biddle estate in Philadelphia, Pa. The coffee pot was personally used by the Biddle famly. A Very Beautiful Victorian Coffee Pot!!!!
