BAILEYS VICTOR CIRCULAR PLANE NO 10, SCARCE AND NICE This is a Victor circular plane #10 made by Leonard Bailey during the period from 1875 to 1884. This plane is cast iron, japanned with a nickel plated knob on the cutter hold down screw . The plane has a flexible sole. The sole is 10 1/4" long. T is no markings on the plane body. On the cutter is marked "L. BAILEY'S PATENT APRIL 23, 1867 DEC. 12. 1876". I'm not going to go thru the history of Bailey and all his problems with Stanley. If you are after this plane you already know everything about that. Plane is in very nice shape. T is about 80% of the japanning remaining on the body. Of course, t are no breaks, cracks or chips anyw and all the parts are present and everything works as it should. No stripped threads, etc, anyw You will not find one much nicer. Scarce, old and great shape, does life get any better. My E-Bay philosophy is simple, you are the customer and you decide how you want to handle the deal. I will go along with most anything as long as it is not too outrageous and you keep me informed. If it will be a few days before you get payment to me, no problem, just let me know so I will not worry about it being lost. I do not have any hard and fast time lines on what happens when. Normally I will get the package to the PO the day after I receive payment. If for some read more
