When you look at the picture you will immediately realize that this Jaz table clock is an Art Deco, as you can see its typical Art Deco design. This is a very nice Art Deco Jaz table clock, made in Paris out of Bakelite around the 1930s. Bakelite was founded in the year 1907, by a Belgium man called Mr. Leo Hendrik Baekeland, who was born 1863 in Gent, Belgium. This clock has got a lovely off-white dial with silver centre with blue and gold Arabic numerals, nice hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at the twelve. The dial is signed: Jaz, Compagnie Industrielle de Mécanique Horlogère - Paris. The dial has got a beautiful typical Art Deco border made out of bakelite. The wind-up mechanism is housed behind the face. It is signed: Jaz, Made in France. Dimensions: Height: 12cm, width: 12cm, depth: 6cm, circa: 1930, made in Paris. The clock is in perfect working order and is just the right Art Deco clock to decorate your desk or bedroom, or to give as a present to your friend, a real must for an Art Deco collector like you!!!
I have been in the antique watch business for the last twenty years. It started of as a hobby and the love for nice watches. With the time it picked up from hobby to a full time business. Hence it is a business, but it has not taken away my love and respect for every watch individually.
