Bakelite Beads Buttons African American Crib Toy Doll I am Edna of "W'd ja git that?". Almost a year ago now, I won a gorgeous ring on ebay form Brad Elfrink at bael31. I sent him a few beads and ask him to make me a beautiful African American woman's face to go with the ring. I can not think of another person that would do that for me. So, thank you Brad! The doll has been on my mind since then. T is no rocket science to my dolls, I just have to get all the pieces together that I want. I pretty much knew how I wanted her but I didn't come across a big enough skirt. A fellow ebayer listed a huge bakelite belt buckle and I was able to win it. Thirty + pieces of bakelite, we now have the finished product! Isn't she a beauty! Her skirt is 3 inches wide. She stands almost 7 inches tall. She will stand on her own but I don't think it is a good idea. She is really top heavy and she might break body parts. Brad signed the back of the ring for me. He also used natural mohair to make her hair. I added the ribbon in her hair. Please, feel free to email any questions you might have. I love to talk about bakelite!
