BAKER MAHOGANY & SATINWOOD CARVED BREAKFRONT This beautiful breakfront is made of mahogany & satinwood and is from the mid 20th century. It was made by Baker and has the label in the drawer. The display cabinet is quite large with four individually paned glass doors opening to three large sections. Each display section has 3 glass shelves in it and a separate light in the top. The glass shelves have a groove at the back for plate display. The top of the cabinet has dental molding across with an elegant open-carved pediment. The base of the piece has 2 storage cabinets and 4 storage drawers. T is a desk section in the top-middle drawer with a drop-down leather writing surface. The cabinet has line inlay borders on the drawer fronts and top of the display. The wood cabinet doors have inlaid ovals in them. The keyhole escutheons are inlaid as well. This piece is in excellent condition for its age. T are some small dents and light scratches; and t is some minor wear in the finish. It measures 94" tall by 76" wide by 15" deep. I use a professional wrap and pack store for FedEx and UPS sized items. For larger items (dining tables, bedroom sets), we use blanket-wrap shippers, which generally require 2 to 4 weeks for continental US delivery (longer for NorthWest corridor of US). is a link to a couple of shippers we have used in the past .
