This is a very old, original animation art cell from the Bambi movie. This of course, depicts Thumper alone. Certainly, at one point it was framed. I have had this for years, this is how I received it. The back actually reads "this picture is fragile and should be framed in glass...". Oddly enough, I'm sure original to the first gallery who sold these, notice the word Fantasia is scratched out and Bambi written in. Also at the bottom the address for this gallery has been updated in pink marker?....From a " COURVOISIER GALLERIES " instead of the old 133 Geary street location, they moved to 617 Harvard St (is what it looks like). Oh, also a pink 95 in the corner, presumably the original cost. Please collectors, I really do not know a thing about these cells, some sell for huge amounts while others have no interest. I'll do my best to be exacting with the description, and hopefully you'll bid. The back continues to read that "This is an original painting on celluloid, actually used in the production of..." If it is important to you email me and I'll type the entire text of the back. I photographed the three parts to this. The second picture is with the celluloid set aside and just the colored drawing...notice the spot w Thumpur should be is discolored...it is covered when reassembled by the bunny of course. The celluloid is intact and has no tears/cracks. The 3rd pic. is the back. I supersized it, I know it looks rough, but that will all get hidden when reframed. The measurements are aprox. 6 by 7 1/2".
