Deliciously elegant fuchi kashira constructed of rather rare smooth, olive shibuichi and overlaid with take(bamboo) stem & leaf in gold, shakudo, & suaka takabori with gold hotaru (fireflies) and silver dew drops. The olive shibuichi perfectly displays the contrast of the shakudo and gold, as well as the suaka that adds a touch intensity to the placid image. The condition is quite excellent, the motif profoundly elegant, and the construction is thick & substantial. Shibui desu, neh..... The nakago- ana measures 5/16"(.793cm) x 1 1/16"(2.6cm). The size: Fuchi 7/8"(2.22cm) x 1 ½"(3.81cm) x 3/8"(.95cm) and the Kashira 11/16" (1.75cm) x 1 5/16"(3.33). Please contact me with any questions and peruse my other lustings. Also check my “ME” page to see what I lust for and perhaps leverage the transaction accordingly as I sell to feed my habit....... Owari kogatana or Yatsuhashi (plank foot bridge, sometimes with iris) and/or Iris menuki are always appreciated..... Bidders outside the U.S. are welcome, however there are some locations that I cannot post to, therefore please inquire before bidding.
