Up for auction is a mint condition print by artist John D Shaw, "Hang Tough" Bastonge 1944 / The Band of Brothers during the Battle of the Bulge. This museum quality print has been hand signed (see photo's) by Easy Company 506 PIR (101st Airborne) vets, and "Band of Brothers" fame, "Wild Bill" Guarnere, Buck Compton, Don Malarky, Earl "One Lung" McClung, Forest Guth, and Jack Agnew (part of the 506 PIR demolition unit, which was Hollywoods inspiration for the movie "The Dirty Dozen".) Jack Agnew jumped into Bastonge while the 506 PIR were encircled to help guide a re-supply drop to the beleaguered troops. Securing his place in history. It has also been hand signed by the artist John D Shaw. It depicts Easy Company's heroic stand at Bastonge on Christmas Eve 1944. Pictured in the center of the print is Dick Wintersbolstering his troops with the famous words to "Hang Tough". This is a beautiful print and one of the most emotion provoking prints I have seen. It defines one of the greatest battles of WWII. It is a must have for any serious WWII collector. It is a limited addition, hand signed #664 of 850 and includes a certificate of authinticty from the studio. Dont miss this opportunity to own a true piece of history. This is a unique print, with some of the most desirable signatures.Thanx for looking and happy bidding.
