Bang & Olufsen of Denmark Up for auction is a great vintage Bang and Olufsen stereo receiver circa 1977-79. This is actually a Beomaster 2400 which differs only from the Beomaster 1900 in that it originally came with the Beomaster Control Module remote control. All other specs are the same. It really was technologically advanced with five FM Presets, Phono and Tape Cassette options. T is an input for headphones and the option to run two independant pairs of speakers with a selector switch from 1 to 2. The sleek pre-Bose appearance was a idea before it's time and the touch pad selector almost space-age for the 70's! This unit no longer has it's remote control but short of that, this is a SUPER nice unit. No wear to the crisp, white lettering or red dial markings. The touch panel functions are working properly with the exception of the 4th and 5th preset which may be working but are not lighting up and the volume control arrow to lower the volume which is working but the arrow is not lit. It does come with two original speaker ends that will need to be spliced into new wiring and two accessory cables. I had the Beocord 1600 tape player/recorder for sale so I was able to test the tape accessory function as well and it was working properly. So the only thing I was not able to test is the phono hook-up. I don't have an FM antenna but read more
