$5 Bank of East Tennessee at Knoxville, Tennessee (Obsolete Note) February 1, 1860 Description: Obverse: When held up to light, no tears are present however pinholes are found along a major vertical fold (divides into symmetrical left and right halves) just below the intersection with a horizontal fold that divides the note into equal top and bottom halves. Other areas include the area between the upper right corner 5 and the angel right wing (2 enlarged), above the head of the lady to the right of the angel, inside the loop of "F" in Feb and in isolated areas outside the note margin line along the top and bottom. The margin line, is continuous , except where the vertical fold intersects the top and bottom margins. A wrinkle in the line is present along the bottom margin below "Pre" in President adjacent to ththe lower right corner. All signatures, date and serial numbers are complete in form, easily readable but show variable sharpness. All explanations, headings, titles, numbers and lettering are complete in form displaying good detail and sharpness. Excluding the material removed by the pinholes, ornamentation and scrolling is detailed, continuous in form while displaying good clarity and sharpness.
