Baptist Missionary Society Centenary Medal. 1892 medal commemorating the establishment of the BMS in 1792. White medal. On the obverse side, the top reads `Baptist Missionary Centenary, 1792-1892`; at the bottom: `The House at Kettering in Which the Baptist Missionary Society Was Formed Oct 2nd 1792.` Around the edges of the reverse are the names Carey, Fuller, Ward, and Marshman. Four circular portraits depict India, Africa, China, and the West Indies. The West Indies portrait has `Emancipation` at the bottom. An open Bible is in the center. Bold EF with a patch of darkening on the side with the building. 45mm.
