Last minute Xmas shopping? How about a very early, very rare, authentic Barcelona Ottoman by Knoll designed by Mies van der Rohe in 1929. Knoll was a licensed Distributor. Mies also designed for Knoll in the 40's and 50's. This design was a MoMA award winner in 1977, along with the lounge chair. Tan leather, down filled cushion. Stainless steel frame. Cushion is missing a number of buttons ( usual cost is $15.00 each to replace) and a few with worn off leather. Some fading and scuffs but the ottoman( it is a footrest!!) is 60 years old. All the straps are intact. All 4 buckles and straps used for keeping the cushion on the frame are in very good shape. Frame is a one piece construction. If you have the Barcelona or Pavillion Lounge and have been looking for the ottoman for it is your chance.Very good condition. It is 60 years old. Partial label. Thick cowhide leather straps. Leather is in super vintage condition. No tears or rips.These currently list for $5100.00 in the 2005 Knoll Studio Catalogue for #251Y (leather).
