DESIGNED BY MR. LESLIE HARRADINE this lovely Penelope was manufactured between 1939 and 1975. She is sitting on a blue and multi-colored 5 1/4" wide bench and beside her is a basket with balls of thread. White hat with blue ribbon, matching the fringes on the lace trimmed sleeves. Ribbon matches the large bow on the side of the dress and the shoe which is atop a red rock. She is embroidering a floral design in a hoop. Logo is on the left. On the right is the handwritten HN1901, indicating an early issue in the mfg. run. The artist's initials IH are below the HN1901 Not Chips, crazing, cracks or repairs. The book value is in the $500 range We are not experts but we think this is the older logo.
