Baron Solingen Germany Stag Handles Carving Knife Set

This is a 4 piece Baron Solingen stag handled carving knife set in unused condition in its original box. The knife measures just under 13" from tip of the blade to the butt of the handle. The blade alone measures 7 1/2" and has a colored etching of a forest scene containing two does, a buck and a bird (grouse?) sitting on a tree branch. The base of the knife is engraved with: BARON SOLINGEN STAINLESS GERMANY Geschm. Mu. Sch. 4300 The steel is 8", 13" including the handle, and is marked SOLINGEN GERMANY. The fork measures a total of 11" and is marked STAINLESS - GERMANY. The poultry shears measure 11" (total); one of the shear blades is pointed and the other is not (see picture #5) and that appears to be a factory cut. The set in its box weighs just under 3 pounds. |
