Rare 1996 custom knife by WOOD, IRIE & CO. * (*Barry Wood and Mike Irie) ATS-34 blade. Cast & machined 17-4 PH stainless handle. MINT condition, never used, never carried, never resharpened. These knives haven't been made since the 1990's Blade is 2 3/4" (6.8 cm) 3 3/4" (9.5 cm) closed. All pictures are of actual knife at auction... This is a NO RESERVE auction! (see marking on inside of handle) Purchased by me from Mr. Wood at the 1996 Blade Show West in Costa Mesa, California. Knife making legend Barry Wood made his well received and now famous “swing-lock” folders starting in 1966. Colorado knife maker Mike Irie has been making knives for many years. He apprenticed under his father-in-law Barry Wood, a very popular knifemaker in his time. Mike is a member of the Knifemaker's Guild and the PKA. He has won many awards with his knives. Barry is now retired and Mike is making knives on his own.
