4 Beautiful antique dinner plates by Bates, Gildea & Walker. Kioto pattern. 10 & 3/4 inch diameter. Shades of brown, ivory, and a turquoise blue. (in photos it looks sky blue - it's really more of a rich turquoise blue.) from the 1800s. Design consists of exotic birds, flowers, cattails, geometric designs, wicker or woven motifs and a ring of blossoms in center surrounding a kingfisher. These plates would coordinate very nicely with brown & white transferware. Mark on back shows registry diamond & a mark (words Gildea & Walker & numbers impressed into the plate. Very nice condition for age. No cracks or chips. I believe it is stoneware or ironstone. From non-smoking home. Paypal registered buyers only. Please ask any questions before bidding.
