For Your Consideration.. A fantastic batik hand blocked print spread from India. A great piece, really one of the best I have found, the colors are beautiful, I would guess vegetable dyes from the saturated vibrant and yet natural tones. This piece is loaded with character, many hand painted imperfections that add immense charm. This is an original, and was found in an estate with very early 1900's -1930's textiles, I would guess that it dates from the 20's, it certainly is not the 70's version so many of us grew up with. This piece was not mass produced, a great work of art. I will start the bidding at $150.00, with no reserve!!! a great price for an original piece, would be beautiful as a bed spread, over a couch, or as a wall hanging.Condition: wonderful, no flaws to note.
