A very nice copy of Batman #213 (August 1969) - this is a square bound Giant (#61) and as such, it's difficult to find a well-preserved copy. No longer 80 Page Giants, this one is 64 pages. This issue features an original story "The Origin of Robin" by E. Nelson Bridwell, art by Ross Andru and Mike Esposito. Also includes the following reprint stories: " Comes Alfred," from Batman #16, by Don Cameron, art by Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson; a Robin solo story "The Game of Death," from Star Spangled Comics #127 by David Verne (a.k.a. David V. Reed), art by Jim Mooney; "The Man Behind the Red Hood" from Detective #168 by Bill Finger, art by Lew Sayre Schwartz and George Roussos; and "The Challenge of Clay-Face," from Detective #298, by Bill Finger, art by Sheldon Moldoff and Charles Paris. Cover is by Bill Draut.Copy has mostly light overall edge, surface and spine wear. T is some rubbing on the spine. Pages are off-white and supple. Staples are clean and tight to the book.
