This is a limited edition Cel titled "Girls' Night Out" issued in 1996 inspired by the original Warner Bros. animated television series "Batman: The Animated Series"episode entitled "Harley and Ivy". Now THESE girls know how to set the town alight! Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy team up as Gotham City's answer to Thelma and Louise (Except that these girls would never head for the cliff...) This episode was especially popular with fams of Batman because it was the only episode pairing these two dynamic villainesses.This limited edition cel was created to capture the explosive combination of Harley & Ivy. Created in 1996 at the famed Warner Bros. animation studio, the original drawing was hand-inked and the master ink line was transferred to a clear acetate sheet (or "cel") utilizing the serigraph screen printing process. These lines were augmented with "self color" lines, which were hand-inked on the front of the cel to help create the trademark shadows on the characters. In traditional animation style, the cels were then expertly hand painted on the reverse side. The vibrant, mood-setting background was reproduced using the lithography process. Each piece was hand-numbered and printed with the Warner Bros. seal of authenticity.This piece is number 194 of 500. Certificate is on the back and signed by Steve Felton Director of Warner Bros.
