Battle ready high carbon steel blade. Ready for cutting right out of the box. Traditional full tang extending deep into the handle. Bohi (Blood Grooves) on both sides to lighten the blade. 20 1/2 inch top quality through hardened monosteel blade providing an edge hardness of HRC 50. 10 inch hand carved tsuka core (wooden handle) capable of one and two handed cutting. Overall length in saya is 32.5 inches. Handle (tsuka) is wrapped in genuine ray skin under imported Japanese cotton, with a nice tight diamond patteren. Non-glossy wood saya (sheath) to reduce chipping or cracking from extensive use. Bonus item: Black/White cotton sword bag for storage or transport.
