BAUER BLACK 4'' INDIAN BOWL.Perfect x-mas gift for the advanced collector of Bauer and Early California items.No chips,cracks or repairs.Rare size and glaze.Wonderful addition to Catalina Island Pottery,Mission, Monterey, Navajo weavings and Malibu tiles.Additonal photos available.Many other early California items available from one of California's Largest dealer/collector of anything California..I refer to this item as being a Bauer Indian bowl per published catalogs and current reference books and in no way imply this was made by Native or American Indians.
ATTENTION POTTERY PEOPLE..This was brought to my attention by a fellow pottery pal that she thought this piece has a hairline.The bowl is guarenteed to ring true and t is certainly a line barely visible on the interior that does not go through to the other side.Hence why it is not very visible.I took this piece for a second opinion to Mike and Netta Yack of Bakersfield who handle tons of bauer every year.They are certain as I am that this was factory and in the firing as it truely rings true and looks great.Again t appears to be a 1.5'' line running from the top interior straight down toward the base.Under a microscope the line seems filled with glaze..again this line is so tight as to be non existant.Any other questions feel free to email me.I tried taking pictures of this but it does not read. SO MANY QUESTIONS ON THIS ONE.Yes It is marked.#5 Bauer Los Angeles.etc....Again the thick black glaze makes it hard to see in pictures.My Bad.
