This is a beautifully shaped pottery pot made at the bauer pottery company in Los Angeles California. As is told in the pottery books on the subject of these indian pots, these pots or pottery bowls were sprayed with a 14 karat decoration. The shape was designed by Tracy Irwin in the 1940's and was called the indian pot because it is similar to the shapes of American Indian Pottery. It is in a matte tan glaze with the gold trim. The indian bowl is 5-1/2" tall and at its widest point is 8" in diameter. Impressed on the bottom BAUER. In wonderful condition, no chips cracks crazing hairlines repairs or restorations.
