This auction is for a brass Microscope and Case by BAUSCH and LOMB. It is marked "PAT. FEB. 16, 1897"
on the fine focus, and "Bausch and Lomb Optical Co., Rochester, N.Y." on the base. T is also a serial Number 60653 on the base. Condenser has two iris diaphragms, one on top and one on bottom of the condenser and is marked "PAT'D. JAN. 3, 1899". The instrument is 12" tall in the closed position and 15" in the open position. Microscope and case are in very good condition with brass carry handle, working lock and key, and interior drawers. The substage mirror is flat on one side and concave on the other and in good condition with some pitting to the concave side as shown in the photos. Included are: two eyepieces, marked "10" and the other unmarked, three objectives, marked 16mm 0.25 n.a., 4mm. 0.65 n.a., and Oil Imm. 1.9mm 1.80 n.a. (all have "Bausch & Lomb Optical Co., Rochester, N.Y." on all the objectives), and one brass objective case marked "2/3". Optics are clear and focus and all parts are fully functional. Microscope and case will be packaged in bubble-wrap and styrofoam. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. All sales are final. No reserve. Canada and International payments by PayPal only.
