I don't know very much about these because the belonged to my grandpa, who was the original owner. I believe they are from 1939 or 1940. They have adjustable eye relief on for both the left and right eye. Right eye piece reads "BAUSCH & LOMB OPT. CO. ROCHESTER N.Y. U.S.A.". I am unsure if they were manufactured in the US or Japan, but there is nothing indicating they were made in Japan on them. Serial number is: WG8811. These were used by my family for years, who are all avid hunters. Considering this, they are in good condition with no scratches or dings on the lenses, which disrupt the view. There is no rusting of any kind, anywhere. Some of the original white paint filling in the numbers is rubbed out. My father sent these to Baush & Lomb in the early 80's and had rubber eye pieces installed on them...the left cup is now beginning to peel away at the base. It appears that the original, solid eye cups would still be applicable because the threading is still present under the current rubber eye cups. This still has the original leather case, from when they were purchased. Overall, I'd say they are in pretty good shape, especially the lenses for being 80 years old.
