These are a brand-new replica of the extreme rare Bavarian Justice High-Security Leg Irons Only 20 pieces of the original have been made and only half of them are in the hands of private persons. The rest went directly to the Bavarian Legal Authority for use in prisons, transport or/and court. Originals of this restraint, which is sometimes referred to as "ABUS Leg Irons", because of the ABUS high security tumbler locks, can be seen in Alex R. Nichols' book "Handcuffs and other Restraints of the World Volume I" on page 120 and in T.L. Gross' book "Manacles of the World" on page 119. It is nearly impossible for a handcuff collector to get an original nowadays. So this is your change to upgrade your collection with this nicely made replica. The reproduction has 4 locking positions (inner diameter 3,03" by 2,56" to 3,94" by 2,56") and like the original also uses tumbler locks, which do not allow the bows to be snap-shut - you need the key to open or close the shackles.
