BAVARIAN PORCELAIN DECORATIVE SET This auction is for decorative hand painted Bavarian Porcelain Set . Bavaria is a region in Europe where many types of porcelain were made. In the 19 th century, the mark often included the word Bavaria . After 1871, the words Bavaria , Germany , were used. This porcelain is today highly collected and much admired. Set includes: plate, 2 toll vases, 2 pitchers & small vase and 2 short vases. Green under glaze crown mark “WST Bavaria Germany ”. Plate has 24K gold gilding border, the embossed mold edge is scalloped and in the beautiful cleqan white shiny porcelain bacground center it is 18 th century scene painted. The plate is 9.25" diameter. 2 tall vases 24K gold covered, stands 6.5” tall and have different 18 th century scene painted on each of them. Bottom of vases are 1.75” diameter and opening is 1.5” diameter. Small vase & 2 pitchers 24K gold covered, stands 2.75”, 3.25” & 4.75” tall respectively and have different 18 th century scene painted on each of them. Bottom of vase & pitchers are 1.25”, 1.25” & 1.75 diameter and opening of vase is 1.5” diameter. 2 short vases 24K gold covered, stands 4” tall and have different 18 th century scene painted on each of them. Bottom of vases are 1.75” diameter and opening is 2.25” diameter. It would add nicely to any collection. This set was a present from my grandmother collection. It is more than 40 years old and always displayed in curio cabinet with glass. It is in excellent condition with no flows and signs of wear. Thank you for viewing my auctions!
