Hello and welcome to our auction. Tonight I have a truly unique item for you. This is a Machete or a short sword. Not fixed to be a bayonet. It will not attach to a rifle. The blade is ingraved on one side with MODELO ARGENTINO 1909 on one side around a symbol or crest. The other side of the blade is marked WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CO. SOLINGEN. On one side of the but cap are the letters RA in a circle. T is a very odd P on one side of the guard. T is a serial number C03094 on the other side of the guard. This same number is on the scabbard. So this is a matched set. Now this is 20" overall. The blade is 14.5". It is high grade steel. It is full tang construction with wood scales. The blade has a few nicks and scratches. T is some age discoloration. No Rust. The scabbard is metal. It has a few scratches and small dints. Over all for being almost 100 years old this is in amazing shape. I bought this probably 16 years ago at a gun show and it has been in the closet ever since. So I am offering it to you for a great starting price. Please take a look.
