I believe this is a German WWII bayonet. The scales have been replaced a long time ago with clear acrylic. T is rust on both the blade and the scabbard, which I have not touched so as not to diminish it's value or history. The release button is stuck, and the frog post is missing from the scabbard. As best I can see with a magnifying glass, ricaso appears to have the letters "BPM" super-imposed on each other on one side, and what may be a leaf on the other side. I have seen this symbol on another bayonet, can't remember what it was. OAL 12-1/2", blade 8-1/4".Paypal or postal money order, please. I will ship same day payment clears.
