From Estate: Vintage & unusual, classic BB Gun Ammo Tubes: Winchester, Western, & Daisy, still in very good overall condition, composed of waxed cardboard with slip-fit tops and original contents, probably dating back into the late 1940s or early 1950s era. Colorful BB Ammo Tubes are described as follows: *1) Oldie "WINCHESTER" BB Ammo Tube measures about 3 1/8" OAL and is approx. 3/4" in diameter. Features black print on salmon pink exterior with black, roll crimped cap having brown card wad in top. Base is also roll crimped. Exterior reads "Winchester" ... "Lead Air Rifle Shot" ... "No.2 Package" ... with address listed as: "Winchester Repeating Arms Co." ... "Division of Western cartridge Co." ... "New Haven, Conn. U.S.A." and appears to be full of original lead BBs. Probably of late 1940s production.(See Photos) **2) The vintage "WESTER" BB Ammo Tube measures about 3" OAL and is approx. 3/4" in diameter as well. Features black print on salmon brown exterior with matching 6-point crimp cap. Base is also of 6-point crimp type. Exterior reads: "WESTERN" ..."Steel Air Rifle Shot" ... "Copper Coated" ... "K1370S" ...with address listed as: "Western Cartridge Company" ... "Division of Olin Industries, Inc." ... "East Alton, Ill. U.S.A." and appears to be full of original copper coated steel BBs. Probably of early 1950s era production.(See Photos) ***3) Latest of these is the DAISY BB Amm Tube of approx. 3 5/8" OAL and about 3/4" diameter. Features red print on white tube with roll crimped, purple top & base having red card wad closures. Exterior reads: "DAISY" ... "Bulls Eye" ... "No.5" ... with red, 5-ring "target" logo reading "Copprotect" at center and "Air Rifle Shot" above & below. Address is shown as: "Daisy Manufacturing Co." ... "Plymouth, Mich." ... "Made In U.S.A.". Appears to be full of original, copper coated steel BBs and probably dates to the late 1940s/'50s era as well.(See Photos) The condition is of course very good overall for all three (3) of these vintage BB Gun Ammo Tubes, though all show slight fade from age and the usual scuffs from storage. There are NO unsightly tears, cuts, or repairs visible. Cardboard tubes are solid still, with color fade commensurate with age of course. Actual weight of the three Tubes is approx one half (1/2) pounds just as shown here.(See Photos) Recently purchased at Estate, we were pleased to have acquired these three oldie-but-goodie BB Ammo Tubes in this condition ... as we know you will be too.
