The Beach Boys Pet Sounds Original 1966 MONO Capitol LP T-2458 Cover comes in a Japanese resealable sleeve LP is in a new "rice paper" sleeve (original paper sleeve also included) This is an ORIGINAL East Coast variety Capitol U.S. issue of "Pet Sounds" first issued on May 16, 1966. The LP cover is in FULL ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINK WRAP! It is one of the nicest we've ever offered and would be a final upgrade for most collections. This LP is difficult to find in even solid VG+ condition since this album sold millions and most circulating copies are well-played and handled. The original owner took extreme care of this album. The LP jacket is in outstanding condition. T is NO WRITING, INK, STAPLE HOLES, WATER DAMAGE, etc. anyw on the cover--just a small amount of aging near the mouth of the jacket and slight corner rubbing/bumping. The title spine is fully intact. The shrink has 2 "breather holes"--one on the front and 1 on the back confirming that this is the original factory shrinkwrap. T is some rubbing on the shrink and a 3 1/2" tear (in the shrink only) across the top edge from the mouth toward the center. The number next to the RIAA symbol on the back is #3--indicating that the LP was manufactured and assembled at Capitol's Scranton, Pennsylvania pressing plant.
