Beach Scene Impressionist Landscape An Original Framed Oil Painting by Roberto Luigi Valente after Claude Monet 1840 - 1926 A superb landscape after Monet which is reminiscent of, and has clearly been inspired by his works on similar subjects . Monet was born to Adolphe and Louise-Justine Monet, both of them second-generation Parisians, of 90 Rue Laffitte, in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, but his family moved in 1845 to Le Havre in Normandy when he was five. He was christened as Oscar-Claude at the church of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. His father wanted him to go into the family (grocery store) business, but Claude Monet wanted to become an artist. His mother was a singer. The original Impressionist painter, the term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise . Monet died December 5, 1926 at the age of 86 and is buried in the Giverny church cemetery . It is framed and mounted and is ready to hang and would grace any home. Roberto Luigi Valente Roberto Luigi Valente was born in 1926, the fourth son of a farming and wine producing family of Frosinine, Piciniso, Antica near Casino and in view of the Abrutzzi mountains. This stunning setting in which Valente grew up, had a strong positive influence on his work. He famously painted some of the most beautiful areas in Italy during a career lasting almost 50 years. This mesmerising oil painting has his characteristic vivid use of colour and vibrant brush strokes. His work was mainly exhibited in Rome and Napoli as well as at other galleries throughout the world. Valente was probably one of the most accomplished Italian artists for this type of painting that ever lived. His style is reminiscent of Turner and Valente has received wide critical acclaim likening him to Turner, one of the most highly regarded artists of all time. This work is signed "Roberto Valente" bottom right, there is an original studio label verso that identifies the work as being after Monet.
