You are bidding on an absolutely gorgeous Lakota style beaded Pipe Bag. Bead work is lazy stitch, 4 3/4" X 2 3/4" dark blue, pink, and grassy green on a sky blue background. It is 21" long (overall, top to fringe tip) and 4 3/4" at its widest point (base). Fringe is 8" long with many tin jingles, all showing a nice patina , (see close up pic). Beaded bag, sans fringe, is 12" long, 4" wide at mouth, 4 3/4" wide at base, and is two pieces sewn together, stitching immediately above beaded section. Leather is somewhat supple, but beginning to stiffen from age. However, not even close to brittle...a very well preserved piece indeed! Comes in an acrylic frame which measures 24" tall X 18" wide X1.5" deep. The age is uncertain, but it has been in my possession for about 20-25 years, and has been kept in a light/temperature/humidity controlled envirionment for same amount of time. You pros know what this beauty is worth, but for the ameteurs, don't let the 0.99 cent opening fool you, this bag is (conservatively) worth at least a couple/three hundred dollars, or did last time I checked the beaded market. T is NO RESERVE on this item. Good luck, and thanks for looking! P.S. Check out my OTHER ITEMS , I am selling several treasures w/a mere 0.99 cents opening !
