Up for auction is a really UNIQUE older beaded Plains Indian Doll. Look carefully at the photos, this doll is TWO SIDED! This doll has a sweet beaded face on BOTH SIDES along with double feet and double pouches and amulets attached to her belt! Turn her around and around and you think you are seeing her twin! I have never seen another doll such as this! She is really awesome! This doll is approximately 15" tall and 7" across at her arms. Her feet are about 3&1/2" long. She appears to be made of deerskin leather with a fringed deerskin dress. The dress has outstanding lazy stitch beadwork on both sides. Blue is the main bead color on the yoke which is accented with a pattern of red, dark blue, yellow, green and white seed beads. She has two fringed belt pouches each beaded on one side with a blue & green STAR design on a yellow background. She also has 4 beautifully beaded amulets hanging from her beaded belt, two on each side. Her hair appears to be made from buffalo fur and is quite frizzly. Her amazing two sided feet are beaded along the top to simulate mocassins. Both of her faces are similar and beaded on. She has some spotting on both of her faces, mostly on her forehead, which can clearly be seen in the close-up photos. One arm is a bit darker than the other and is made from rougher leather. She is in wonderful condition read more
