Excellent and fine bearded side axe. 8" edge is sharp and ready to go. Handle is offset for hewing and is old. Clearly stamped "PILERSEE" with crossed hammers or axes stamped into the blade. No cracks, rust, pitting repairs or other issues. The handle fits nicely, but there is a little play and could use a bit of wedging for use. With a little honing this axe is ready for the traditional carpenter, boat builder or green woodworker. This axe has been in my collection for about twenty years. I like this one and will miss it, but I am turning some things over and one only needs so many bearded axes in this lifetime. Thank you for looking. And questions welcome.
