This week I am listing two original pieces of art by beat poet and artist Gregory Corso. Please check out my other listing. This auction is for an original SIGNED collage by Corso . Undated. An irregular size piece of thick paper approximately 16.5" tall by 13" wide. The collage is signed on the rear side where Corso glued on a short newspaper article quoting Harry C. Smith. The collage is abstract with numerous pieces of cut out photographs glued on, a piece of aluminum foil and has some original painted characters. Condition is very good indeed. Unlike many of his beat artist contemporaries such as Kenneth Patchen, Robert LaVigne, William Burroughs et al, Corso's original works rarely seem to come to market. This piece was previously owned by an acquaintance of Corso who knew him from his New York days. High bidder to pay for shipping and insurance at cost.
